Small Fry was developed by two Mums who both came from professional backgrounds and wanted to provide inspiration to make the daily tasks of motherhood a little more exciting for mothers and their children. They have published two books which are full of ideas on how to add value to the lives of parents, carers and children by providing practical ideas, activities, recipes and inspiration for the precious time that we get to spend with our children. Their ideas span from doing something fun and creative to doing nothing at all!
In our desperate desire to get things right, as parents, we can so easily fall into the habit of over-structuring our children's time. The Small Fry series of books encourages parents, carers and in turn, children, to take some time to remember that the simple things can be the most valuable and create the most impact on the lives of our children. The authors, Susie Cameron and Katrina Cook investigate nature vs nintendo as well as kids and food, kids and their environment and the irrefutable value of kids and play.
They have published two fantastic books, Small Fry – Inspiration for Cooking with Kids, Small Fry – Inspiration for Being Outdoors with Kids, with Small Fry – Inspiration for Playing with Kids to be published in September this year. They also have plans to turn each of the Small Fry books into individual TV shows! The books are available in all good book shops across Australia and New Zealand and can be purchased online – www.smallfryfun.com.
