Congratulations to SA Department for Water - winners of the 2010 Diversity@Work Award for the Equal Advancement for Women

Wednesday, October 20, 2010

I was thrilled to receive an email from Cindy Flower this week at the Department for Water in Adelaide with the fantastic news that the program she's been running to improve the advancement of women in leadership across the department had just been announced the winner of the Women's awards category in the Diversity@Work Awards.  sphinxx has been part of the program at the Department of Water in SA for almost 2 years now, providing mentoring programs, a training workshop on negotiation, and access to theAscend development days, so we're really excited to see the progress Cindy continues to make.

"We are still on a high from the win, and the whirlwind on Friday when we arrived back in the office was very positive and motivating" Cindy said, adding "But now its  back to work, and implementing the next Strategy/Action Plan….no rest for the wicked so they say….."  Certainly not, when it comes to challenging gender disparity.

Congratulations to all of the award winners - across the numerous categories - and for a full list of the award winners, click here.
