Apologies to Nigel

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

I posted a blog post this week in which there was a reference to Nigel. Since then the real Nigel has phoned our office, emailed us and posted comments on our blog reassuring me that my interpretation of the invitation sent from his office was not correct.  In fact Nigel seems like a lovely guy, and is most concerned that we might have the wrong idea about what he is speaking about - which is Creativity.

Nigel has assured me that the topic that was reported to my by a friend and member of our network and which I consider was completely unhelpful in the advancement of women as leaders, has been removed from the agenda of the event he is speaking at.  In any case Nigel was never going to present this topic - his expertise is Creativity and his topic for the day will be relate to this.

I apologise to this Nigel that in reporting on his email invitation, forwarded to the sphinxx office by a good friend of mine, I did not check the official event page to confirm that the topics mentioned in his email were current and hence I reported on content that had been included in error.

Nigel has asked me to remove reference to him in the blog I wrote which I have now done.
