As you know, there are many networking events for women; and Ascend is not much like them. Our sphinxx programs bring women together in a meaningful way to specifically address the personal and professional gaps that they say are holding them back; and deliver advice and education for employers to help them in finding and keeping the best women on their teams.

The agenda is different each quarter - and in August we are focusing on getting over the hump and mobilising a force behind you to ensure you close in on your goals for 2010. - ENGAGING PEOPLE AND CREATING FOLLOWERS a 90-minute interactive workshop to kick the day off, with Ken Wright, internationally award winning author, former CEO and expert on engagement. Ken will go into the detail of how you can engage the people around you - your teams, managers, customers and networks - so they can help you achieve your goals!
- BOOST YOUR BRAIN and perform at your peak, a keynote presentation from Dr Helena Popovic, medical doctor and health and well-being expert who will challenge you to change your behaviours to be more effective;
- LEADERSHIP Take the Lead is an interactive group mentoring style session, led by Carolyn Hewson AO, non-executive director of Westpac, Stockland, BHP Billiton and BT Investment Management ;
- VOCAL INTELLIGENCE Create energy and authority through voice - this will be our final, high energy keynote presentation for the day by Louise Mahler, translator between the world of performing arts and business.
